NOTES FROM THE DIRECTOR
I've directed several productions, but this one definitely spoke to me as it deals with our current times, as a people and a country. When I first read "All For Art," months ago I had no idea how relevant this play would be today. From dealing with the current Government not supporting the arts, to showing immigrants what it means when you're not from the "good ol' U.S. of A." Thank goodness this play deals with it in comedy! We could all use some laughter these days, and this is one of the main reasons I took this project on. The desire to find humor in dark places.
Luckily, I was given a talented cast to work with, along with a brilliant production team, that has had us all laughing throughout rehearsals and reminding us it really is, "All For Art!"
