Matthew Bogen
as Francis Hardy
Matthew makes his Sherman Playhouse debut with this production. It serves as a closing of the circle, in a way; his high school teacher, James Mandracchia, performed on this stage, planting a seed for his young mind to consider that one did not need to put oneself in a box. Matthew is the Head of Information Technology at the Yale Center for British Art, after previously serving at the Frist Art Museum in Nashville and the Folger Shakespeare Library. Acting credits include King Lear (Lear), Terra Nova (Scott), Julius Caesar (Caesar), Noises Off (Lloyd), Macbeth (Lennox, Macduff), Blithe Spirit (Bradman), Moon Over Buffalo (Paul), Taming of the Shrew (Hortensio), Lion in Winter (Philip, Geoffrey), Our Town (Gibbs), Much Ado About Nothing (Borachio), Charlie's Aunt (Fancourt), and Importance of Being Earnest (Lane/Merriman). Matthew is excited to work with Priscilla, Bruce, and Kyle again on this amazing work. We’re all stories in the end; make yours a good one.

Priscilla is grateful to be working on another beautiful Brian Friel play with such a great cast and creative team. Her previous outings with Friel include two regional productions of Dancing at Lughnasa and Friel’s The Mundy Scheme at The Schoolhouse Theater in Croton. Previous Sherman Players credits include The Chalk Garden (Olivia), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Titania) and two (soon to be three) productions of Brad Blake’s Wreck the Halls. Recent area credits include Agnes of God (Dr. Livingstone) at Westport Community Theatre and Square One Theatre Company; Sweeney Todd (Mrs. Lovett), Cabaret (Fraulein Schneider) and Mamma Mia (Donna) at Downtown Cabaret Theater; The Sound of Music (Mother Abbess) at Curtain Call and Musicals at Richter; The Exonerated (Sunny) at Ridgefield Theater Barn; and Silent Sky (Annie) at Warner Theatre. She sends love to her stalwart husband Kyle and to their children: Kieran, Olivia, Arden and Viola.
